Graphic Design with Typography

Plymouth University

I thoroughly enjoyed University and was the stepping stone I was looking for after I had finished my college course. Every aspect of every unit captured my interest, from Layout designs to creating our own typography! (Which I received a commendation on!) However in 2020 when I first attended the university, the uni was battling the start of COVID-19 and the first-ever lockdown. For anyone in the creative industry or any industry, this was a very trying and exhausting time. After a lot of debating and thinking, I decided to leave University and try again after COVID had cleared.

Graphic, Illustration & Gaming Art
Plymouth College of Art

PCA was an amazing and phenomenal course filled with opportunities. We had units from Layout Design and Branding to Typography and Game design. Both are filled with experimental, hands-on projects and written work. I had a baby girl halfway through my course and in Year 2 was a new full-time mummy. My daughter only encouraged me more and was my inspiration for the majority of my projects resulting in a Merit on my Diploma when graduating.

Media Pre-production level 3 BTEC

St Austell College

I attended St Austell College after receiving 9 A*-C GCSE Grades and decided to pursue my passion for media studies after receiving an A*. When I got to St Austell College I realized that the course just wasn't for me and was way more into production and the pre-production of media, rather than the Graphic Design I was wanting to further my knowledge in. I still attended and left with a Merit on a Subsidiary Diploma.
